With these surroundings Canada is the second largest country in the world. The world’s longest international land border is bordering Canada. Meteorological and Geological regions characterizes Canada. Capital of Canada is Ottawa. Largest Metropolitan areas are Toronto, Montreal  and Vancouver. Generally the education in Canada is divided into primary education, followed by secondary education and postsecondary. There are a large number of  universities in Canada. Most of the universities are publicly funded. University Laval is the oldest post secondary institution in Canada and it was established in 1663.

Major Intakes 

  • Fall Intake

It starts in September and ends in October. It is Known as the primary Intake because it is the period that universities offer all the courses to international students.

  • Winter Intake

It starts in January and ends in February. It is known as the secondary Intake because it is a period that a number of courses are available  for students who missed fall Intake.

  • Spring Intake

It starts in May and ends in April. Only a few courses are available. Not all universities offer courses in spring Intake.
